On Sunday, I participated in the St. Louis Half Marathon with two of my besties! This picture is from before the race started (note that we had to be downtown at 6:15am). We all finished, which was our goal. Emily (far left) split off from Amanda (far right) and I around mile 2 - just as we expected. Amanda and I stayed together until mile 10. I wasn't sure I was even going to start the race a few days ago due to some knee problems, then I thought about starting and just going a few miles, but that's not who I am....if I start, I finish, so that's just what I did. I was able to run more than I expected, but the course was very hilly - long, gradual hills - which really kicked my bootie! I finished in 2hrs 43min....nothing impressive but I finished nonetheless! Oh, I am also officially retiring from half marathons! (I'll post more pics when I get them)

CONGRATS!!!, but running is NOT good for the knees, take it from someone (who was never a runner), that you want to avoid knee replacement if possible!!!!!
